About

You work with me. That's the whole idea.

I'm Tyson Saltwell. Blue Hen Consulting is a boutique AI advisory practice based in Milford, Delaware — and when you hire it, you get me, not a team you never meet or a junior associate learning on your account. I sit down with you and your staff, I learn how your office actually works, and I help you use AI safely and well.

The firms everyone else overlooks

The big consulting firms don't call back a six-person law office, a small nonprofit, or a county clerk. Their economics don't allow it — you're too small to matter to them. But you're holding exactly the kind of sensitive information that makes getting AI right actually important: client files, patient records, donor data, constituent information.

I started Blue Hen because that gap bothered me. I'd spent two decades helping large institutions modernize how they work, and it was clear the organizations that needed steady, trustworthy guidance most were the ones nobody was serving. So that's who I serve — close to home, in plain language, at a price that fits your size.

Boutique and local doesn't mean inexperienced

I spent twenty-two years in consulting, twelve of them in federal defense with Deloitte, Booz Allen Hamilton, and Serco. The work was almost always the same underneath: helping organizations change how they operate, and helping their people adapt to it. That's the real job in AI adoption too — the technology is the easy part; fitting it to how your office works is where it succeeds or fails.

Milford, and the Mid-Atlantic

I'm based in Milford, Delaware, and most of the organizations I work with are within a few hours of here. That's deliberate. AI guidance for a small office works best when the person giving it can sit across the table from you, knows the kind of community you operate in, and is reachable as a real person when something comes up — not a ticket number at a national vendor.

Blue Hen's AI advisory work sits alongside The Mispillion Group, my research consulting line. You don't need to know anything about it to work with me on AI — but if you're curious where the analytical habit comes from, that's where.
